Dual Mono Audio Output

One of my favorite features is having the ability to output audio to “Dual Mono

This is important to me because when using external USB-C mics, like the Hollyland Lark A1, I have the option in their dedicated app to record in stereo, allowing me to have individual control of the audio mix as, for example, mic 1 will be in the dedicated left channel, and mic 2 will be in the dedicated right channel. This is standard and very helpful when using two mics with one receiver.

But I am not always using two mics. I could always go into the mic’s app to switch the recording to mono, but that would be very inconvenient to always switch between mono and stereo in the mic app.

This can be very problematic for people who edit on their phone, and the issue is when recording in stereo with one mic, the viewer will only hear the dialogue back in one ear which is very frustrating to listen to. On top of that, even when two mics are being used person 1 will still only be on one side of the stereo spectrum and person two will only be on the opposite side.

Having Dual Mono would allow me and others to maintain the Stereo Separation for better audio processing in post while also maintaining the convenience of having the audio playback in mono, regardless if I am using one or two wireless mics.

I hope this makes sense! 🙏
