Natural Processing for Video

Natural Processing is already an amazing advancement in stripping away Apple’s image processing pipeline, and if it were ported to video use cases, MPCII would stand alone as the first app to offer unprocessed video. The implemented workflow could look something like this:

  1. MPCII receives Raw Bayer data from the sensor in a ‘burst’ style

  2. Audio is recorded simultaneously to a separate file

  3. Data is saved to disk (or RAM, if necessary)

  4. Upon recording completion, session data is added to a processing queue

  5. In the queue, session data is

    1. Baked with the ‘Natural’ recipe

    2. Stiched together into 24fps (filmic frame rate, and lighter on resources than 30 or 60fps)

    3. Audio file merged with new video file

    4. Saved to Photos library
